Show Up, Be Seen, Live Brave™
Dr. Brene Brown started out as a Social Work educator and researcher studying what creates and maintains healthy connection to self and others. What she found in her research is that people with high levels of connection had learned to recognize how shame operated in their lives and could move through the feelings of shame without disconnection. She called these practices “shame Resilience”
She defines shame as the “intensely painful feeling or experience that we are flawed and therefore not worthy of love and belonging”. Her research showed that shame underpins many of our biggest challenges and drives much of our unhealthy coping behaviors. In these classes you will explore what it means to live “wholeheartedly” with shame resilience.
The workshop can help you:
Connections: Understand how shame operates in your life, the ways it drives disconnection and the behaviors you use to defend yourself against those painful feelings
Learn and practice “Shame Resilience” - the ability to reach out, speak your truth and build connection
The Daring Way: Show up, be seen, and live brave in all areas of your life
Rising Strong: Learn how to regain your footing in the midst of struggle.
Frequently asked questions about the workshops

The workshop meets weekly for 8 weeks via zoom. It will use videos by Dr. Brene Brown, structured worksheets, and group discussion.

Each session is 80 minutes long, and runs for 8 consecutive weeks. Cost is $60 per class, if paid weekly, or $350 if paid in full, with a discount.

Insurance may cover group therapy. If you have out of network coverage with a PPO, you may request a superbill to submit to your insurance.
